THE BERRY INTERESTING PROPERTY MARKET REPORT
Two months into spring and we are seeing the winter trend continuing with acreage properties attracting activity and sales. Buyers have set their focus on land size, with 10 sales in total so far for spring. With 7 sales between 1.5 & 9 acres plus 2 further sales over 50 acres.
Land purchasers are still looking for value with more interest coming down the coast from the Illawarra. It’s interesting to see our coastal cousins in Kiama and Gerringong looking for a tree-change to Berry.
The residential sector is possibly the most talked about segment of the market. With no runs on the board for Spring to establish market value we will begin to see pricing return to a more sensible, and therefore sustainable level. This market correction is not unexpected and is not something to be feared. In fact without corrections such as these within localised areas, owning a home can become quickly unattainable especially with the changing face of lending in Australia.
